Why Vinolok?

Having a wine label of our own has allowed us to focus our energy on the aspects of winemaking that are most important to us. At By Chance Wines we aim to not only produce a premium product, but to do so with the smallest possible footprint. In order to help achieve this goal, we have chosen Vinolok as our preferred bottle closure. Not only has Vinolok proven to be an equal competitor in regards to oxygen transmission rates and spoilage, but it is 100% recyclable.

The majority of the Vinolok closure is glass, which happens to be the only material that can be recycled over and over again without any loss of quality. even the sealing ring is recyclable in the same way that plastic water, juice and milk bottles are.

Another option for these highly durable closures is upcycling. Once you have enjoyed your last sip of wine, the options for these bottles and closures are essentially endless. Popular uses include a vessel for water, oil, vinegar and other various liquids.

If you decide not to upcycle, please do recycle. It’s as easy as removing the plastic sealing ring and chucking it in with your plastic recyclables and then tossing the remaining glass stopper into it’s respective recycling vessel. The planet (and By Chance Wines) will thank you!!
